    Bòn fèt drapo!

Let's celebrate Haitian Flag Day! (it's their equivalent of July Fourth. Independence Day, every year on May 18).

On Haitian Flag Day in 2019, Jesse served as the Honorary Haitian and led the parade and learned to say "Bòn fèt drapo" ("Happy Flag Day" in Haitian Creole). And we all learned about Haiti's history, which includes an important role in the early American fight for independence.

The Haitian flag was raised at Randolph Town Hall, and we had a parade and then a Haitian Pride Celebration in Stetson Hall -- videos of song and dance below.

Town Councilor Natacha Clerger organized the event. The Hiatian community in Randolph is very large -- so we'll do another celebration every year!
